Introduction
HKIBIM is now making its first attempt to host an automation arena to gather talents and facilitate new development of the construction industry. BIM professionals or IT talents are welcome to submit their digital solutions which can further improve construction project management quality and effectiveness in the following aspects, including design and documentation, visualization and collaboration, and interoperability and data exchange. Winners could enjoy various media coverage offered by the organizer.  Let’s manifest your breakthrough and exchange ideas in BIM automation.

Categories of Submissions
The arena is open for submission under the following categories:

1. Visual Programming
2. Application of programming Interface / Plugin
3. Software Applications (Standalone / SaaS)

Categories of Applicants

1. Individual Application (Applicable to Local / Overseas Applicants)
   • An individual or a group of individuals is eligible for this category
   • The solution must be related to AEC industry / can be practicing in AEC industry.
   • Each applicant can submit more than one application, but each solution can only submit one application.
   • Individual could decide not to disclose his/her identity on the publicity materials by using anonymous, nicknames, or group names. HKBIM obtains the rights to verify the identities of the applicants in the screening procedure.
2. Corporation (Hong Kong-based Firm / Hong Kong Branch / Headquarter of Multinational Corporation)
   • The key members of the project team are based in Hong Kong is eligible for this category.
   • The solution's conceptual design must be done by the firm with headquarters or regional headquarters in Hong Kong.
   • The solution must be related to AEC industry / can be practicing in AEC industry.
   • Each firm can submit more than one application, but each solution can only submit one application.
3. Corporate Firm (Mainland China / Overseas / Multinational Corporation Based)
   • The key members of the project team are based in Mainland China, Overseas, or Multinational is eligible for this category.
   • The solution must be related to AEC industry / can be practicing in AEC industry.
   • Each firm can submit more than one application, but each solution can only submit one application.

Assessment Criteria

• Challenge of Achieving the Breakthrough (e.g., Amount of resource or manpower involved, complexity of project design and/or delivery) – 20%
• User Experience (UI & UX Design) – 20%
• Enhancement in Productivity – 20%
• Innovation – 10%
• Scalability – 10%
• Enhancement in Quality – 10%
• Achievement of the Breakthrough (e.g. Client’s compliment, awards) – 5%
• Bonus Marks will be given to HKIBIM Member(s) in a project team – 5% 

Awards
BIMER Master (Gold Award), BIMER Elite (Silver Award), BIMER Rising Star (Bronze Awards) and BIMER Inventor (Merit) will be granted of each type of applicants
Best Innovation Award, Best User Experience Award and The Most Popular Award will be granted to the highest scores in respective items of the shortlisted solutions of all categories.

Media Publicity, Solution Showcase and Trophy will be offered to the winners.

HOW TO APPLY

Step 2: Applicant will automatically receive an acknowledgement email including your application number and submission portal link.

Please upload below required submission materials into online submission system on or before 17 February 2023 (Friday) 5p.m. (HKT, UTC +8): 

SUBMISSION MATERIALS

1. Executive summary of the automation developed for BIM process and its breakthrough (a maximum of 5 pages in A3 size)
2. A Video Clip to demonstrate the end-to-end automation process (no duration limitation)
3. A Completed Quantitative and Qualitative KPIs Form which indicated the comparison between the traditional workflow and the workflow with automation (Download the KPIs Form)
4. Application Fee in the sum of HK$2,000 (Applicable to Corporate Applicants only).*
   *Bank Transfer / Crossed Cheque payable to “THE HONG KONG INSTITUTE OF BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING” is accepted. Click here for payment method details.

NOTES

• Submission can be written in English/Traditional Chinese/Simplified Chinese. 
• All the materials will not be returned to the applicant after submission.
• HKIBIM reserves the right to reproduce, print and/or publish the materials submitted in either paper or electronic format, or for any use in association with this event and HKIBIM BIM Directory. Under this circumstance, the applicants should ensure that they own the intellectual property rights of the submitted materials or they are granted the licences of using the submitted materials.
• HKIBIM reserves the ultimate right to make final and binding decisions on the eligibility and award category of all applications.

简介
科技研发已成为推动社会持续发展及进步的主要催化剂，各行各业都必须加速科技应用，以提升 产业发展，AEC (建筑、工程与施工) 产业也不例外。有见及此，国内及香港政府亦积极推进 BIM 的广泛使用，配合银行推出相关的绿色融资支援方案和社会各界的广泛支持下，数字化为建筑业 所带来的优势将无可限量，亦成为社会可持续发展的关键。 香港建筑信息模拟学会 (HKIBIM) 一直致力于建立及推动业界的建筑信息管理实践标准，并透过与 社会各界合作，培养大众对 BIM 的认识，推动社会广泛采用技术。 因此，学会首次举办 BIM 自动化竞赛擂台（华山论 BIM），诚邀本地及国内外的资讯科技（IT） 及 BIM 专才，展示他们就 (i) 设计和文档管理，(ii) 可视化和协同，以及 (iii) 软件交互性和数据交 换三方面所创建的解决方案，互相切磋，进一步提高建筑项目管理质量和效率，提升业界的水 平。获奖者将获得传媒采访报道及方案展示机会！立即参加竞赛，展现您在 BIM 自动化及智能化 的新突破！

提交材料的类别
本次比赛所需材料按以下类别提交：

1. 可视化编程
2. 应用程式介面/外挂程式
3. 应用软件（单机版/软件即服务）

申请者类別

1. 个人 / 团隊申请（非公司名义参賽，适用于本地/海外申请者）
   • 适用於个人或团隊名义參賽
   • 解决方案必须与 AEC (建筑、工程与施工) 行业有关，且可以在 AEC 行业中实践。
   • 每位参加者可提交多于一份的申请书，但每个解决方案只能递交一次。
   • 参加者可以选择不在宣传资料上公开其真实姓名及身份，并以匿名、绰号或团队名称代 替，但主办方保留在评选过程中核实申请者真实身份的权利。
2. 公司（香港公司 / 跨国企業在港的分公司）
   • 适用于项目团队的主要成员在香港工作
   • 解决方案的概念设计必须在香港完成。
   • 该解决方案必须与 AEC (建筑、工程与施工) 行业有关，且可以在 AEC 行业中实践。
   • 每间公司可提交多于一份的申请书，但每个解决方案只能递交一次。
3. 公司（中国公司 / 海外公司）
   • 适用于项目团队的主要成员在中国大陆 / 海外工作
   • 该解决方案必须与 AEC 行业有关 (建筑、工程与施工)，且可以在 AEC 行业中实践。
   • 每间公司可提交多于一份的申请书，但每个解决方案只能递交一次

审核标准

• 突破性（如：能节省的人手，能令复杂的项目提速提效）— 20%
• 用户界面设计和用户体验— 20%
• 生产力的提高程度 — 20%
• 创新性 — 10%
• 可扩展性 — 10%
• 质量提升程度 — 10%
• 成就 / 嘉许（如：客户的赞许信、奖项）— 5%
• 奖励分：项目团队中包含的 HKIBIM 会员數量 — 5%

奖项

奖项 各类别各设 BIMER 大师（金奖）、BIMER 精英（银奖）、BIMER 新星（铜奖）及 BIMER 发 明家（优秀奖）的奖项。 另设最佳创新奖、最佳用户体验奖和最受欢迎奖三个奖项。

获奖者将获媒体宣传、解决方案展示机会及优胜奖杯。

申请程序 
第 1 步：线上递交申请表格 https://minerals.hk/bimarena

第 2 步：成功递交申请表格的参加者将收到确认电邮，当中包含参加者的申请编号及参赛材料 提交系统的链接。

请于 2023 年 2 月 17 日（星期五）下午 5 时或之前（香港时间，UTC+8）上传以下所 需参赛材料到线上提交系统。

所需提交的参赛材料

1. 内容摘要：概括描述解决方案的内容及其成就（A3 纸，最多 5 页）。 
2. 展示视频：完整的解决方案演示（无时间限制）。 
3. 关键绩效指标 (KPI) 表格：比较传统和实践其自动化工作流程后的差异（下载关键绩效指标表格）。 
4. 2,000 港元的申请费（仅适用于公司名义的参赛者）*。

注意事项

• 所需提交的参赛材料需以英文 / 繁体中文 / 简体中文 填写。
• 所有提交的参赛材料在提交后将不予退回。
• 主办方保留复制、印刷和/或出版所有提交的参赛材料（不论纸质或电子形式），或用于与本次活动和香港建筑信息模拟学会 BIM 名录有关的任何用途的权利。在这种情况下，申请 者必须确保他们拥有所提交材料的所有知识产权，或获得使用所提交材料的许可。
• 主办方对所有申请的资格和奖项类别拥有最终和具有约束力决定的最终权利。
